ARCHIPASTORAL VISIT OF HIS EMINENCE KIRILL, METROPOLITAN OF SMOLENSK AND KALININGRAD
His
Eminence Kirill arrived in Palma on November 1st. This day the Spanish
Representant of the Moscow Patriarchate offered the program of the visit
to the press.
On November 2nd, Metropolitan Kirill together with Father Gundyaev and
Count Marcov arrived at the Parish of the Nativity of Our Lord, where
the “Starosta” (a special parishioner) offered the salt and the bread
to His Eminence. At 11 O’clock the liturgy began with presence of top
ecclesiastical, civil and military authorities: The Diocesan Administrator
(Acting bishop), the General-governor, the Navy Chief, The Chief Prosecutor,
the City Hall representative, The General Director of external relations
of the Regional Government, the General Consul of Russia, the Count
Marcov, (Consul of Belize and coordinator of the protocol and visit),
the Vice-Consul of Denmark (Secretary of the Consular representatives),
the President of the Nobility Assembly, and other high representatives
of the nobility, functionaries, business and press.
This visit is scheduled as the result of the recent legal establishment
of the Patriarchate of Moscow and all Russias as a registered religious
institution in Spain.
Metropolitan Kirill is responsible to all parishes outside the Russian
territory.
His Eminence has used this opportunity to give thanks to the Roman Catholic
Church representatives for their fraternal welcoming.

Архипастырский визит Митр. Смоленского и Калининградского Кирилла, Председателя ОВЦС МП на Майорку.
В 1999 году, по инициативе Митр. Смоленского и Калининградского Кирилла на Майорку был послан клирик Московского Патриархата архимандрит Макарий (Розелло), уроженец острова Майорка, прежде служивший в Мексике. Ввиду увеличивавшегося числа выходцев из России, постоянно проживающих в Испании, перед архим. Макарием была поставлена задача устроения русской православной церковной жизни на Майорке. Архим. Макарием был основан Православный монастырь, в котором проводились богослужения. Его стараниями Православной общине на Майорке был передан большой старинный храм в центре города Пальма де Майорка, прежде бывший храмом Католической Церкви.
1 – 2 ноября сего года, Митр. Смоленский и Калининградский Кирилл пребывал с архипастырским визитом в Пальма де Майорка. Во время своего визита он посетил основанный на острове Русский Православный Монастырь.В воскресенье, 2-го ноября Владыка совершил Божественную Литургию в новом храме. За богослужением присутсвовали многочисленные представители местных властей, Католической Церкви и Российской дипломатии. Среди присутствовавших за были: Генеральный Консул России в Барселоне Казимиров Д. В., Глава военного округа Майорки Генерал Дон Луис Пелаес–Кампоманес Фернандес, викарний кат еп Пальма де Майорка Сеньор Андреу Геноварт, городской канцлер Пальма де Майорка Сеньор Рогелио Араухо, Генеральный Прокурор Балеарских островов Сеньор Дон Бартоломе Барсело Оливер и многие другие высокопоставленные лица.
По завершенни Божественной Литургии Митр. Кирилл обратился со словами благодарности к архим. Макарию и всем, кто принимает активное участие в организации Православной жизни на острове. В знак признания понесённых трудов Владыка преподнес в дар о. Макарию крест с украшениями и икону Пресвятой Богородицы для новоустроенного храма.
В этот же день актив прихода организовал прием в честь Митрополита Кирилла.
