Celebration of the 5th anniversary of the Order of St. Stanislas
This trip allowed Count Marcov to learn more about the order of St. Stanislas. Grand Prior Pavlo I. V'yalov informed him that the Order of St. Stanislas began linked to Poland but at this time it is becoming fully independent and expanding in many countries. Many distinguished members of the Ukrainian high society belong to this order. Some of the members are also members of the Rotary Club.

Visiting Pecherska-Lavra
A short visit to Kiev and to the Pecherska- Lavra monastery was made by Count Marcov who carried a personal letter from Archimandrite Makary Vicar of Spain and Portugal to Metropolitan Vladimir of Kiev and all Ukraine. As Metropolitan Vladimir was travelling to Israel, Archbishop Mitrofan received Count Marcov and gave him an engraved icon as a gift

Pechersk Lavra monastery. The fathers of the Russian Monasticism lived here in caves.

The Pechersk Lavra monastery is considered one of the most sacred Orthodox places in the world.
