Dr.
Marco attended Spanish and English schools
in Ferrol and Santiago de Compostela. (Spain). At this University, he
graduated in studies of Nursing (diploma 1972) and Medicine (diploma 1974).
He complemented these studies with voluntary practices in several centres
including the Department of General Medicine and Internal Medicine at
Medical School. He passed the physician grade exam in June 1974.
After
graduation he became specialist in
Internal Medicine (1977) and Nephrology (1979), being MD Intern and Resident
of the Department of Medicine of the Santiago University Hospital (Spain).
In 1982, he obtained the degree of Doctor in Medicine (Ph.D. degree) with Cum Laude (A+) at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain). Thesis: "Serum Ferritin in Hemodialysis".
In 1988, and again with a grant from the "Fondo de Investigaciones Sanitarias de la Seguridad Social)”, he realized a post doctoral international research project at the Mayo Clinic (Rochester Minnesota, USA). Project: "Acquired cystic kidney disease"
In 1982, he obtained the degree of Doctor in Medicine (Ph.D. degree) with Cum Laude (A+) at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain). Thesis: "Serum Ferritin in Hemodialysis".

and Management: In 1989 Dr. Marco obtained the diploma in Hospital
Management and Administration (CEO level) at the School of High Management
and Business Administration (EADA), Barcelona (Spain).
He also received a diploma in Business Administration (1991) at the School of Business and Computerization in the Balearic Islands University, and the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Health Services Administration (1991) at the School of Public Health of the University of Minnesota (USA).

Marco has also completed marine captain studies. He is fully certificate
for worldwide operation of any type of yacht up to 500 Tons. He is fluent
