Count Marcov, Seigneur of the Fief de Thomas Blondel (Guernsey); Extraordinary and plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kiev Noble Assembly.; Doctor in Medicine, Bachelor in Business Administration, Master in Health Care Administration. Head of Department of Nephrology, Son Espases University Hospital, Palma de Mallorca. He comes from the Guernsey-Spanish line, linked to Nikolay Iraklievich and his wife Victoria Ann from Guernsey and their son Joseph (1818 Circa 1875).

Most of his professional life has been dedicated to the medical practice of Nephrology in the Son Dureta University Hospital, now Son Espases University Hospital, where he is currently Head of Department.

In 1993 he became Health and Economy Director (CFO) of the Regional Health Administration. Regional Government. Balearic Islands, and months later, he was appointed General Secretary of Health of the Regional Government. During 1994 and 1995 he also became CEO of the Regional Health Administration.

From 1998 to 2002 he was the Coordinator of the continuous medical education programs for Son Dureta University Hospital. He has been also Secretary of the Clinical Essay Committee (Ethic Committee) of Son Dureta University Hospital.

He has collaborated or directed many research projects including: A Multinational study on familial hypokaliemic nephropathy. Coordinated by the Yale University and the Project “Genetic risk factors for essential hypertension. Analyses in the native Balearic population”. Granted by FISS 99/0042.
He has been designated as Judicial expert by the Medical College Association of the Balearic Islands.

Dr Marco was also promoter of other groups and projects such as the Balearic Registry of Renal Patients (A collaborative institution that includes the Regional Health Care System, the Regional Government and the Balearic Society of Nephrology) and the Spanish group of work: Dialysis costing. A joint venture of the Spanish Health Economy Society and the National Nephrology Society.
He has given advice to different institutions, including the President of the International Society of Cardiology for the White Book Project and the Belize Government
Publications, press contributions, conferences: Publications included over 50 medical papers, 17 chapters of books and/or monographic works, 43 posters or short presentations, 20 newspaper collaborations and several radio and TV programmes. He gives several medical lectures every year.
